Introduction

Master Wangdi was born in Shigatse, Tibet in the year 1976. He was trained by Gen Yuntenla (the famous woodcarving master) of the famous institution called Gangyen culture center in Shigatse, Tibet; which was founded by H. H 10th Panchen Lama in Shigatse, for the preservation and the promotion of the Tibetan handicrafts. After completing his training, he received the qualification of the master in Handicrafts .He came to Nepal in the year 1995 and has a vast experience in traditional handicrafts, and also specialized in woodcarving with the idea from Lama Gangchen, he established Gangchen Himalayan handicrafts and culture center in Kathmandu, Nepal with the aim to preserve and to promote the Himalayan culture of handicrafts and workmanship.
Gangchen Himalayan Handicrafts and culture center was founded in 1981, which initially started with Tibetan incense and various Tibetan handicrafts. The center not only helps in employing the unemployed of the community but also to train them to be self-employed. The center also having aims in promoting Nepalese and Tibetan traditional art and craftsmanship’s and also preserves the ancient Tibetan culture.
Gangchen Himalayan Handicraft and culture center is located in Kathmandu, Nepal. We are the traditional manufacturers of Tibetan herbal incense, woodcarving, traditional wooden furnitures, decoration fixtures and Thanka paintings of all sizes. The quality and the workmanship is guaranteed.
